Objectives: Support WCGN‘s ‘sustainable watering project’

                         Promote better management of garden water

​​

Activities:

​

  • Develop garden calculator and assessment tools with gardeners.

  • Monitor & model water use in gardens

  • Model rainwater harvesting potential

  • Qualitative research with gardeners about co-benefits of sustainable watering and decision making processes

  • Literature / evidence reviews and case studies analysis of sustainable watering for community gardens

  • Garden watering calculator (software)

  • Sustainable watering assessment framework (tool)

  • 4 x MSc dissertations on: rainwater harvesting potential, decision making, co-benefits, surface run off & sewer impacts

  • Access the WNGC (via the CAMELLIA Water Info Hub)
